On her first day using the product she noted how the bottle recommended using around 20 pumps for her hair style. Worried how the product would affect her fine hair she chose to use the minimum amount of product and started with 10 pumps.
After her first use she immediately noted changes in how her hair looked and felt. While massaging the product into her hair she points out that normally a lot of hair falls out in the shower, but while she used the Wen hair conditioner she did not experience any hair falling out. After rinsing the product McClure used a blow dryer to dry her hair. The conditioner made added shine and bounce to her hair after her first use.
Continuing to use the product daily Emily noticed that while the product still gave her hair more shine and bounce, her hair got greasy faster than normal. McClure would usually only need to shower every other day before her hair would look greasy. While using Wen product she had to shower every day.
The authors overall reaction to the Guthy-Renker beauty product was a positive one. Completing a one week trial, she noted that after using Wen Cleansing Conditioner her hair not only felt better but looked better. One point she made was that the product may not be for you if you don’t have time to shower and style your hair every day, as it will make your hair greasy much quicker than normal.
